How to connect  API?

To connect IMCO Trading Suite to IBKR:

1. Open TWS or IB Gateway on your computer (make sure it's running).

2. Enable API access in TWS under Edit > Global Configuration > API > Settings.

3. In IMCO Trading Suite, go to Link Account, enter your IBKR account details, and click Test Connection.

4. Once connected, you can start trading.

IBKR does not use fixed API keys. Instead, it relies on session-based authentication via the Client Portal Gateway.

Steps:

• Download the Client Portal Gateway from: https://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/trading/ibgateway-stable.php

​

• Run the Gateway on your local machine. 

​​

• Log in with your IBKR credentials.

​

• Once logged in, the Gateway remains active and authenticated, allowing secure access via session.

       ​

Make sure the Client Portal Gateway remains running and you are logged in.
